Healing to Grow
Welcome to Your TheraSpace with Gaby Chavez—a supportive and inclusive space for children, adolescents, families, and individuals seeking healing, growth, and a greater sense of balance.
I currently offer virtual therapy, creating a flexible and accessible way to receive support in a setting that feels comfortable and familiar. Therapy in this space is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and genuine connection.
Whether support is being sought for a child, a teen, or for personal growth, care is taken to create an environment where each person feels understood, respected, and safe to express themselves.
Many of the clients seen in this practice are navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, behavioral challenges, relationship concerns, or life transitions—however, the range of experiences goes far beyond these examples.
If this feels like a space that could be supportive, I welcome the opportunity to connect and explore next steps together.
Services
Child/ Adolescent Therapy
$150
I specialize in working with children and adolescents navigating a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and life challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related experiences, self-harm, school stress, peer and family difficulties, and changes in mood or behavior. I also have experience supporting young people involved in foster care, psychiatric services, and juvenile rehabilitation settings.
My approach focuses on creating a space where young people feel safe, respected, and not pressured to perform or have the “right” answers. I meet them where they are and support them in putting words to their experiences at a pace that feels natural and manageable.
In sessions, we work on building emotional awareness, developing practical coping strategies, and finding healthier ways to express emotions and needs. Over time, this supports emotional regulation, reduces overwhelm, and helps young people feel more grounded and confident in daily life.
I recognize that reaching out for support—and trusting someone else with the care of your child—can be a significant step. I aim to keep the process clear so caregivers understand what we are working on and how progress is supported.
When helpful, I include caregivers in a way that supports understanding, reduces conflict at home, and helps create more consistent responses to a young person’s needs.
The goal is steady, sustainable emotional growth so your child feels more understood, regulated, and capable as they move through life.
$150
Many adults come to therapy when they feel stuck in patterns that don’t change, even when they understand them logically. This can show up as feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected, or repeatedly facing the same challenges in relationships, work, or daily life.
Sometimes there isn’t a clear label for what’s wrong—just a sense that things feel heavier, more reactive, or harder to manage than they used to.
I work with individuals navigating trauma and complex trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, self-worth concerns, burnout, grief and loss, and the impact of unresolved experiences. I also work with people who don’t have a clear label for what they’re experiencing, but know something feels off or stuck.
Therapy is a space to slow things down and understand what’s happening beneath the surface. We explore how past and present experiences may be connected, and how they show up in emotions, relationships, and daily patterns. The focus is on making sense of what’s happening in a way that feels practical and usable.
Over time, this work can help you notice patterns more clearly, feel less caught in automatic reactions, and respond more intentionally. Many people also find it easier to communicate needs, set boundaries, and make decisions with more clarity.
Therapy can involve exploring experiences that have been difficult to process alone. We move at a steady, supported pace, with space to reflect and stay grounded. Over time, this often leads to greater clarity, steadiness, and flexibility in daily life.
Individual Therapy
Family Therapy
$175
Family therapy focuses on improving communication, understanding, and connection within the family system. It can be helpful when relationships feel strained, communication breaks down easily, or conflict patterns feel hard to change.
In sessions, we create space for each person to feel heard and understood while working through the emotions, misunderstandings, and patterns that contribute to ongoing tension. The goal is not to assign blame, but to understand how each person’s experiences and responses affect the family as a whole.
I support families in developing more effective ways of communicating, expressing needs, and responding to conflict. This often includes slowing interactions in the room, identifying unhelpful cycles, and practicing new ways of engaging that feel more constructive and less reactive.
Over time, this can help reduce escalations, improve understanding between family members, and create more consistency in how challenges are handled at home. Many families also find it easier to repair after conflict and talk through difficult topics without things quickly breaking down.
The focus is on building a more stable and workable way of relating to one another—so the family feels less reactive, more understood, and better able to handle stress together.
I believe therapy should be accessible to all individuals, and that financial barriers should not prevent access to care. I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots, which are available on a case-by-case basis to support accessibility. If there are questions about sliding scale fees or superbills, I welcome a conversation.
